Ron's Guide Service is a family owned professional Florida fishing and hunting guide service
with over 25 years of experience on beautiful Lake Okeechobee.

Captain Ron is a native New Yorker who first discovered Lake Okeechobee in 1976.
Mesmerized by the serene environment and the abundance of fish and wildlife, Captain Ron had a vision to share his love of fishing and hunting with people from around the world and make experiencing Lake Okeechobee an affordable dream.
To this very day we continue to keep our rates low by not nickel and diming for our services.
At the end of the day we would rather have you as a repeat client than a one time booking.

Our Home, Lake Okeechobee

The Seminole Indian name "Okeechobee" actually means big water,
an appropriate title for the second largest freshwater lake in the United States.
The lake, including its access canals and rim canals, is approximately 37 miles long by 30 miles wide (448,000 acres, 700 square miles) with an average depth of almost 10 feet.
It has about 140 miles of levee around it with an average height of 34 feet.
Okeechobee is renown to fishermen nationwide due to the fact that it produces more trophy bass over 8 pounds than any lake in the United States!
