Bruce and Molly McGirr (Lockport, NY - e-mail:
mmcgirr@localnet.com) who arrived just after hurricane Irene moved
off of Lake Okeechobee and left the area did manage to catch and
released about 75
bass that included two 5 lb., two 5 1/2 lb., one 7 lb., one 8
1/2 lb. and one 8 3/4 lb'er
during 5 days (Oct. 18 - 22, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with
Ron's Guide Service. Even though hurricane Irene tore up the lake
and churned up the water real bad Molly caught the 8 1/2 lb'er
while bruce landed the 7 and 8 3/4 lb'er. Bass
were
caught in the Monkey Box, North Shore and Moonshine areas of Lake
Okeechobee.
Kevin Garvey (New York,
NY - e-mail: KMGARV@aol.com) and Frank and Andrew Lepore caught 17 bass up to
7 lbs. during one day (Oct.
11, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron. Kevin caught
and released the 7 lber. He also had on two other big bass
that somehow threw the hook. All bass which were released were
taken using shiners in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Tom Easterwood (Cullman,

Jeff Silvey (Holly Pond, AL - e-mail: jtsilvey@linkfast.net)
caught and released 65 bass that included
a 6 1/4 and a 7 1/4 lb'er
during 3 days (Apr. 1 - 3, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's
Guide Service. Bass where caught in the North Shore, Monkey Box
and Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.
Jim
Kulha (Livonia, MI - e-mail: Jkool92@aol.com) and Jim Jury (Plymounth,
MI - e-mail: Jury@mediaone.net) caught 29 bass that included a

1/2, 5 3/4, 6 and a 8 lb'er
during 2 days (Mar. 29 and 30, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with
Captain Ron. Jim Kulha caught the 8 lb'er which he is having mounted.
Jim Jury caught and released the 6 lb'er. Bass where caught in
the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Bill
Diffenderfer (Redford, MI - e-mail: billdiff@aol.com) and Charles
Emery (Lehigh Acres, Fl) fished a half a day (Mar. 28, 1999) with
artificial lures. Bill caught and released a 8 1/4 lb.
trophy bass on a sluggo. Fish was taken on the North Shore of
Lake Okeechobee.
Jeff
Demonaco (West Dundee, IL - e-mail: GJD002@email.mot.com) caught
and released about 25
bass up to 6 lbs. during
2 half days (Mar. 27 and 28, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with
Ron's Guide Service. Jeff caught the 6 lb'er on the North Shore
of Lake Okeechobee.

on their second fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide
Service caught and released 40 bass that included a 5 1/2 and 6 lb'er during 2 half and 1 full day (Mar. 19 -
21, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron. John Ward caught
the 6 lb'er. Bass were caught out of several areas in the Monkey
Box,

and Rob Allex (Sherphardsville, KY) caught
and released 127
bass that included a 6 and a 6 1/4 lb'er during
5 days (Mar. 15 - 19, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's
Guide Service. Bass where caught in the North Shore, Monkey Box
and Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.

caught and released 21 bass that included a 4 1/4, 5 1/4, 6
1/4 and a 6 1/2 lb'er during
2 days (Mar. 14 and 15, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain
Ron. Tommy caught the 6 1/4 and 6 1/2 lb. bass. Bass where caught
in the Monkey Box and Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Dominic Spinale Jr. (Billerica, MA ph: 978-667-4288)
and Armand Michand (Naples, FL ph: 941-417-9471) caught and released

bass up to 9 1/4 lbs. during
3 days (Mar. 5 - 7, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide
Service. Dom landed the 9 1/4 lb'er plus a 6 1/4 lb. bass. Armand
landed a 6 lb'er. Bass where caught on the North Shore and Moonshiner
areas of Lake Okeechobee.

and Paul Turner (Atlanta, GA) caught

bass which included two 4 1/2 lb'ers, four 5 1/2 lb'ers, a 6 lber
and a 7 1/2 lb'er during
3 days (Mar. 2 - 4, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain
Ron. These guys on their second fishing trip with us experienced
slow fishing due to a cold front. What they didn't do in quantity
they did in quality sized bass. All bass were caught in the Moonshine
area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were live released.
Mark Lundergan (Corning, NY - home ph: e-mail:
Lundergam1@corning.com) and his dad Loren (Radcliff, KY - e-mail:
Ldldell@aol.com) on their "second" 3 day fishing trip
with us caught and released 56 bass up to 8 1/4 lbs. during 3 days (Mar. 1 - 3, 1999) of wild shiner fishing
on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service. Mark also landed
and released a 6 lb'er. Bass were caught on the North Shore and
Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee. On their first fishing trip
(Jan. 16 - 18, 1998) they caught and released 45 bass up to
9 lbs. Mark landed and released
the 9 lb'er while his dad Loren landed and released a 6 lb'er.|
