trophy bass fishing during the month of February was good to excellent
with wild shiners being the ticket to landing the trophy bass
as usual. The spawn during this month helped by bringing the bigger
bass into the shallow water areas around the lake.
Florida 7 1/2
and 8 1/2 lb. trophy bass
Stuart
and son JR Stephens (Falmount, KY - ph: 606-654-3225) caught and released about
20
bass that included a 7 1/2 that Stuart caught and a 8 1/2 lb'er
that his
son JR caught using shiners
during 2 half days (Feb. 25 and 26, 1999) of fishing on Lake Okeechobee
with Ron's Guide Service. All the bass which were released were
caught in the Moonshine and North Shore areas of Okeechobee.

and released about 20
bass up to 6 lbs.

days (Feb. 8 & 9, 1999) of fishing on Lake Okeechobee with
