Florida Bass Fishing Lake Okeechobee 6 1/2 & 7 1/4 lb. Bass

Doug Headquist (mound, MN - e-mail: rmenard1@isd.net) and Judy Sivula (Blaine, MN) caught 23 bass up to 7 1/4 lbs. during 2 half days (Nov. 26, 27, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Ron’s Guide Service. Dick and Judy each caught and released a 6 1/2 lb'er. Judy caught the 7 1/4 lb'er. All bass were caught on the North Shore of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing 6 lb. Okeechobee bass
Charlie Geiger (Lithonia, GA - e-mail: Stang83GT@aol.com) caught 21 bass up to 6 lbs. during 1 day (Nov. 24, 1998) of Florida wild shiner bass fishing with Ron’s Guide Service. This catch of Florida bass came out of the North Shore area of Okeechobee. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing 7 lb. Lake Okeechobee
Trophy Bass

These two 7 lb'ers were caught by Dick and his dad Bob Monsky (Central Islip, NY - home ph: 516-582-6246 - bus. ph: 716-753-8503). They caught a total of 63 bass during 3 days (Nov. 10 - 12, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Besides the two 7 lb'ers, they also had a 6 1/2 and two 6 lb'ers. All the bass were released.

Floroda Bass Fishing 8, 7 1/2 & 6 lb. Lake Okeechobee Trophy Bass


Stan Felton (Canton, MA - ph: 781-828-1635) and John Kennedy (Roslindale, MA - ph: 617-323-4294) caught only 76 bass in 5 days due to hurricane Mitch high wind and rain conditions. Some nice bass however were caught and released which included a 8 lb. (top left - John Kennedy), 7 1/2 lb. (top right), 6 lb. (bottom left - Stan Felton) and eight bass that were from 5 - 5 1/2 lbs. during 5 days (Nov. 2 - 6, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Cap’n Ron. This trip was their “tenth year” of fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Cap’n Ron. Stan caught the 6 lb’er while John caught the 7 1/2 and 8 lb’er. All bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Year-Round Special Rate

This Special Rate of only $180.00 is for 1 person and includes: 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 6 dozen shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

We require 2 persons on our Special Rate.

Required Deposit for 2 persons is $180.00

Third person 2 half day 1 night rate charge is $100.00 additional and includes 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 room for 3 persons for 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 2 dozen extra shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

Required Deposit for 3rd. person is $100.00
