Florida Bass Fishing Guide Fishing Report December 1999

Florida bass fishing during the month of December was good due to the unusual warm weather. The warm water temperature caused Okeechobee's bass to delay spawning during this month altogether. Big slab crappie are being caught all around the Harney Pond canal area.

Dave Hayes (Baton Rouge, LA - ph: 225-924-9697) caught 16 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 and the half days (Dec. 29 & 30, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Scott Stephens (Bellefontaine, OH - e-mail: scotts@loganrec.com) caught 14 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 and the half days (Dec. 28 & 29, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Keith Werner and Cathy (Erie, MI 48133 - e-mail: poopdog@gateway.net) caught 14 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 and the half days (Dec. 24 & 25, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Tom and Imogene Mann (Cordele, GA - e-mail: thomasfmann@cs.com) caught 31 bass which included a 6 1/2 and 5 3/4 lb'er during 2 and the half days (Dec. 22 & 23, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Tom caught the 6 1/2 lb'er. All bass were caught in the South Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Dave Rehrig and son Steve (Miami, FL - e-mail: trek@shadow.net) caught 17 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 and the half days (Dec. 19 & 20, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the South Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Patty and Kylie (Valrico, FL - e-mail: ferrata@juno.com) in 2 guide boats caught a total of 55 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 2 half days (Dec. 17 & 18, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Monkey Box and Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Ron Ross and Vickie (Duluth, MN - ph: 218-624-2109 caught 20 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during a half day (Dec. 16, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Jay Moore and son (Midland, TX - ph: 915-684-7209) caught 38 bass which included a 7, 6 and a 5 lb'er during 1 day (Dec. 13, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

(Jerry and Denise Danowski (Newcastle, ME -ph: 207-563-7939) caught 16 bass up to 5 lbs. during 2 and the half days (Dec. 9 & 10, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Bob Ranney (Phoenix, AZ - 602-787-8046) caught about 20 bass which included a 6 lb'er during 1 and the half days (Dec. 7 & 8, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Hay Field area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Ed Risley and 2 other friends (Randolph, MA - ph: 781-963-8467) caught 20 bass which included two 5 lb'er during 1 day (Dec. 6, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Hay Field area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Randy and Debbie Weber (St. Louis, MO - ph: 636-677-5301) caught 29 bass which included a 5, 5 1/2 and 7 lb'er during 2 and the half days (Dec. 1 & 2, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. All bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were also released.

Year-Round Special Rate

This Special Rate of only $180.00 is for 1 person and includes: 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 6 dozen shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

We require 2 persons on our Special Rate.

Required Deposit for 2 persons is $180.00

Third person 2 half day 1 night rate charge is $100.00 additional and includes 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 room for 3 persons for 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 2 dozen extra shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

Required Deposit for 3rd. person is $100.00
