Florida Deer Hunting

Our Florida hunting for deer (Florida whitetail) is conducted on private land in Glades and Highlands county. The hunting area consists of several hundred acres which is surrounded by thousands of acres owned by other property land owners. The terrain on our land and the surrounding land around our land varies from palmetto thickets to oak trees and other hardwoods. Grass fields, cow pastures, ponds and marsh areas are scattered throughout the area.

DEER HUNTING METHOD
Still hunting - sitting still is the most successful way to hunt deer. stalking very quietly or doing both is the only method of deer hunting permitted on our hunting land. Trampling through the woods from one end of the property to the other in hopes of sneaking up on a deer is the poorest method of deer hunting there is!

We do not provide a guide or clean any kills made on our deer hunts, nor do we guarantee a kill, or that you will find signs of game in the area, or that game will be in the area, or even be seen!

No guarantees, express or implied, are made that our deer hunting package will meet all of the hunter's expectations, specifically regarding the hunting area, lack of game or signs that game are in the area, productiveness, hunting conditions or weather conditions.

No guarantees are made that neighboring land owners who's land surrounds the hunting area you will be hunting in will not be working on their land mowing, plowing, bulldozing, removing trees by chainsaw, burning brush, working live stock or any other chores land owners do.
Deer and other wildlife are not scared off by these type of chores that are done thoughout the year which they have come habituated acclimated to.

The mere fact of just being in the woods enjoying nature, watching birds and other wildlife is an aspect of hunting that is very rewarding in itself.

A hunter may bring a portable stand if he likes. Because we are not a hunting preserve - each hunter may kill their legal limit of deer and as a bonus a hunter may take other game (turkey and wild hogs) that are legal to take while they are deer hunting "without" any additional charges or trophy fees.

DEER HUNTING WEAPONS
All centerfire caliber rifles and handguns are permitted on our hunting land. Bow and arrow (35 pound draw), Muzzleloading gun (.40 caliber) and crossbows can also be used on our hunting land.

DEER HUNTING HOURS
A day of deer hunting begins one-half hour before sunrise and ends one-half hour after sunset. A hunter has the option to hunt all or any part of that span of of hours during his reserved day of hunting. Unused hours are not applicable to any other day of hunting. Any unused days of a hunter's 2 day reservation are not applicable to any other days or a new reservation made during the season.
