Brian Avery (Sumanee, GA
- ph: 770-339-4379) and several executives from Nations Bank,
etc. fishing in 2 boats caught and released about 40 bass up to
7 1/2 lbs during 1 day of
fishing (Feb. 28, 1998). All fish which were caught using shiners
in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
Larry and Judith
Fry (Massillion, OH - e-mail: zepplerj@aol.com) caught
and released about 40
bass up to 5 lbs
during 2 days (Feb. 24 - 25, 1998) of
wild shiners fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service.
All the bass which were caught on the North Shore of Lake Okeechobee.
were released
Peter and Loretta Accolla (Georgetown, MA - ph: 978-352-9991)
caught and released about 15 bass including a 10 1/4 lb'er during a half day (Feb. 23, 1998) of wild
shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. The North Shore of Lake
Okeechobee gave these fish up.
Guided Al Brown (Golden, CO - e-mail: Asicmaster@aol.com) to 15 bass up to
8 1/4 lbs. during 1 day
of fishing (Feb. 13, 1998). All fish which were caught using shiners
were released.
Bob Kuzas (Chicago,
IL - ph: 773-472-9776), Richard Kuzas (South Holland, IL - ph:
708-333-1121), Larry Beger (Chicago, IL - ph: 773-665-4200) and
Billy Clancy (Chicago, IL - ph: 773-275-1502) caught and released
about 100
bass that included a 7 3/4, 6 1/2 and a 6 lb'er during 3 days (Feb. 12 -
14, 1998) of shiner fishing
on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service. All the bass which
were released were caught out of the North Shore area of Lake
Okeechobee.
Lanny Ross Sr.(Ball Ground, GA - ph: 770-479-5300) and son Lanny
"Chuck" Ross Jr. (Hopkins, SC - ph: 803-695-1380) caught
approximately 60
bass up to 9 lbs. during
3 days of wild shiner fishing (Feb. 11 - 13, 1998). All fish were
released except the 9 lb'er which was keep for mounting.
Garland and wife Charlene Boston (Louisville, KY - ph: 502-267-8760)
did manage to land and release approximately35 bass up to
10 lbs. They fished 3 days
(Feb. 10 - 12, 1998) with us using wild shiners under poor weather
conditions. Charlene of course caught and released the 10 lb'er.
I guided (Feb. 9, 10, 11, 1998) a father and son team, Chris and
Brendan Ivory (Holstville, NY - ph: 516-654-0525) to 29 bass up to
9 lbs. Although the fishing
was very slow, Chris's son Brendan did manage to catch and released
the 9 lb'er. We fished all over the to locate fish. In the end
the Spoil Islands gave up the fish. My clients during the slow
fishing periods were delighted in watching 4 otters playing around
with each other along the weed line we were fishing. A 10 foot
plus gator swimming close to the boat was also an added attraction
they enjoyed and took pictures of.
Pat Scott (Chicago,
IL - ph: 773-779-2590) and Steve Burke (Oak Lawn, IL - ph: 708-423-5892)
caught and released 16 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 1 day (Feb. 8, 1998)
of wild shiner fishing on Lake
Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service. All the bass which were released
were caught out of the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
Frank Blackmore (Plant City, FL - ph: 813-659-9563) and son Brian
(Aurora, IL - ph: 630-375-9477 - e-mail: landman1@mw.sisna.com)
fished 3 days (Feb. 4 - 6, 1998) and landed 35 bass up to 6 1/4
lbs. using wild shiners. Fish were caught on the North Shore.
Honeymoon
couple Shane and Sarah Battani (Slater, IA - e-mail:
BATTANISD@philbred.com) caught and released about 20 bass up to
4 lbs during
1 day (Feb. 4, 1998) of wild
shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service. All
the bass which were released were caught out of the North Shore
area of Lake Okeechobee.
Andrew Barszcewski and wife (Springfield, MA - e-mail: Abars@compuserve.com)
fishing 3 days (Feb. 3 - 5, 1998) caught and released approximately
30
bass including a 7 3/4 and 8 1/4 lb'er. The
North Shore of Lake Okeechobee gave these fish up.
