Lake Okeechobee women anglers bass fishing reports and pictures from the calendar year of 2001. This Florida freshwater lake over the 22 years I have operated a trophy bass fishing guide service on has produced on a person to person (male to female) ratio "more trophy bass to women anglers" It seems the girls are able to put more Okeechobee trophy bass in the boat far more offen then the experienced men anglers!

November 6 & 7, 2001

florida bass fishing, florida trophy bass fishing, lake okeechobee fishingFlorida wild shiner bass fishing anglers Bill & Faye Musselman (Englewood, FL - e-mail: fmm16@home.com) caught and released about 10 bass that included a 5 lb. bass that Faye landed under windy and cold front conditions during 2 half days of wild shiner bass fishing on November 6 & 7, 2001 with Cap'n Ron. We fished the North Shore and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Honeymoon bass fishing couple Josh and Sara Zenner (Athens, WI - e-mail: saraannzenner@yahoo.com - e-mail: joshz@negconsulting.com) caught 13 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 1 day of wild shiner bass fishing on September 20, 2001 with Captain Ron. They each caught a 5 1/2 lb'er which is the biggest bass she or her husband ever caught. They also had a 5 1/4 lb, 5 lb, 4 1/2 lb, 4 lb and seven others from 3 - 3 1/2 lbs that they caught and released. Sara caught the 5 1/2 lb. (left) and the 5 1/4 lb'er (right). Fished the Monkey Box and Point of the reef areas of Lake Okeechobee.

We loved the airboat rides and if we could have, we
would have fished all night!

bass mounted. We're working on picking out the

Honeymoon bass fishing couple Steve and Natalie Krumholtz (Petrolia, Ontario, Canada - e-mail: limey_48@hotline.com) landed a trophy 6 lb. bass during 2 half days of wild shiner bass fishing on September 1 & 2, 2001 with Captain Ron. Natalie caught and released this 6 lb'er, the biggest bass she or her husband ever caught. This beauty was caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida Bass Fishing 8 1/2 lb. & 6 1/2 lb. Trophy Bass
February 20 & 21, 2001

florida bass fishing, florida trophy bass fishing, lake okeechobee fishingflorida bass fishing, florida trophy bass fishing, lake okeechobee fishingFlorida wild shiner fishing couple Bill & Lynda Muck (Hamburg, NY - ph: 716-649-6708) caught and released 11 bass that included a trophy 8 1/2 lb. and 6 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days (February 20 & 21, 2001) of Florida wild shiner bass fishing with with Ron's Guide Service. Lynda caught "both trophy bass" and most of the bass boated! Bill as it was noted was along for the ride. Bass were caught in Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee.
