Lake Okeechobee loves women anglers! This
Florida freshwater lake over the 22 years I have operated a trophy
bass fishing guide service on - has produced on a person to person
(male to female) ratio "more trophy bass to women anglers".
I hate to admit it - but the girls are able to put more Okeechobee
trophy bass in the boat far more consistantly then the experienced
men anglers!
Bass fishing anglers Ed Papin, his wife Kate and 15 year-old son Mike (St. Charles, MO - e-mail: epaoin@sbcglobal.net) caught and released 90 bass that included a 7 1/4 lb., 6 1/2 lb. and two 5 1/2 lb'ers during 3 days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with Ron's Guide Service on October 27, 28 & 29, 2003. Kate caught the 7 1/4 lb. and the two 5 1/2 lb'ers. Mike got the 6 1/2 lb'er. all the trophy size bass where caught on a shiner. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. anglers Tom Snyder, his wife Deb and nephew Bryant (Mount
Holly, NJ - e-mail: tlsnyder3@comcast.net caught and released 68 bass up
to 4 1/4 lbs
during 2 days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with
Cap'n Ron on June 23rd. and Captain Bob on June 24th., 2003. Tom's
wife Deb caught the 4 1/4 lb'er that would of went at least 6
or more pounds if it had some body weight. Tom also caught a 4
lb'er. Tom's 8 year-old nephew Bryant caught about 30 of the 68
bass landed. Bass were caught mostly on plastic worm in the North

Florida wild shiner bass fishing dad Earl and his 18 year-old daughter Monica (Lawrenceburg, IN - e-mail: htown4@earthlink) caught and released about 20 bass that included a 6 3/4 lb'er, one 5 1/2 lb., one 4 3/4 lb., one 4 1/4 lb. and one 4 lb'er during 2 days of shiner bass fishing with Captain Ron on March 9 & 10, 2003. Monica who is an excellent angler caught "ALL THE BASS" with the exception of one her dad managed to land. Bass were caught in North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. Red Dog
