Lake Okeechobee loves women anglers! This Florida freshwater lake over the 22 years I have operated a trophy bass fishing guide service on - has produced on a person to person (male to female) ratio "more trophy bass to women anglers". I hate to admit it - but the girls are able to put more Okeechobee trophy bass in the boat far more consistantly then the experienced men anglers!

Florida bass fishing anglers Mark and Angela Persons (Rifle, CO - e-mail: thempersons@msn.com) caught and released about 25 bass that included a 12 lb.trophy and a 8 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days (Mar. 17 & 18, 2004) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Angela caught and released the 12 lb. and 8 1/2 lb'er. They fished the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida bass fishing anglers Tom & Peggy Neel (Redford, VA - e-mail: tneel@aol.com) caught and released about 16 bass that included a 7 1/4 lb'er during 2 half days (Mar. 7 & 8, 2004) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Peggy caught the 7 1/4 lb'er. They fished the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
