I have put together a collection of Lake Okeechobee honeymoon fishing reports, pictures and other information about honeymoon couples who have Florida trophy bass fished with Ron's Guide Service during their honeymoon.

Florida Bass Fishing 5 3/4 lb. Florida Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip June 27 & 28, 1999

Honeymoon couple Paul and Hollie Hendricks (York, SC - ph: 803-684-7018) caught 12 bass that included a 5 3/4 lb'er that Paul caught using shiners during the 2 half days (June 27 & 28, 1999) they fished with Captain Ron. All fish were which were released were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida Bass Fishing 9 3/4 lb. Florida Trophy Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip April 5, 1999

Honeymoon couple Roland and Cody Toupin (Ft. Loramie, OH - ph: 937-295-4209) caught 11 bass up to 9 3/4 lbs during a half day (Apr. 5, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with pro guide Captain Ron. Cody of course caught the 9 3/4 lb'er as well as 8 of the 11 other bass put in the boat. Roland did manage to land a 5 lb'er. Fished the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released except the 9 3/4 lb'er which is being mounted.

Florida Bass Fishing 4 1/2 lb. Florida Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip August 5 - 6, 1998

Honeymoon couple Paul and Leslie Hackett (Atco, NJ - ph: 609-753-5140) caught 35 bass up to 4 1/2 lbs. during 2 days (Aug. 5 - 7, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Ron’s Guide Service. Besides the good fishing this trip was a surprise wedding gift to Paul from Leslie.

Florida Bass Fishing 5 lb. Florida Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip July 24 & 25, 1998

Honeymoon couple Dan & Lacee Sell (Stilwater, KS - ph: 913-851-2044 - e-mail: lgoldie@yahoo.com) caught 29 bass up to 5 lbs. during 2 half days of fishing (July 24 & 25, 1998) with Ron’s Guide Service. Although Dan caught the two 5 lb’ers. Lacee whipped him in amount of fish landed. All bass were released.

Florida Bass Fishing 4 lb. Florida Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip February 4, 1998

Honeymoon couple Shane and Sarah Battani (Slater, IA - ph: 515-685-2564 - e-mail: BATTANISD@philbred.com) caught and released about 20 bass up to 4 lbs during 1 day (Feb. 4, 1998) of wild shiners fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Ron's Guide Service. All the bass which were released were caught out of the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida Bass Fishing 8 & 7 1/2 lb. Florida Trophy Bass
Florida Bass Fishing Trip December 5 & 6, 1997

8 and lb. Okeechobee trophy bass. Guided a honeymoon couple for 2 days (Dec. 5th. & 6th. 1997) of wild shiner fishing on lake Okeechobee. Dave Simpson and his wife Lisa (Marshall, VA - home ph: 540-364-4546) caught only 11 bass fishing due to a cold front that slowed down the fishing. To compensate for the poor fishing Lisa did however hook and land a 7 1/2 lb'er. Her husband Dave also hooked and landed a 8 lb'er. Lisa also had on another "big" bass that threw the hook. We fished the Monkey Box and Moonshine Bay. All the fish were caught using shiners.

Florida Bass Fishing 10 & 7 lb. Florida Trophy Bass

10 and 7 lb. Lake Okeechobee trophy bass caught by Dan Leclerc (Lowell, MA - ph: 508-453-4351) was the biggest of the 60 plus bass that Dan and his wife Tammy caught and released during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron. Tammy caught and released the 7 lb'er which was the first bass to be caught during their trip.

Florida Bass Fishing Trip January 7 - 9, 1998

Honeymoon couple James and Debby Field (West Yarmount, MA - home ph: 508-775-5893) fished 3 days (Jan. 7, 8, 9, 1998) with wild shiner and landed 46 bass up to 5 lbs. Debby had a big bass on that managed to get off. James had his share of the action but was out fished by Debby each day. All bass caught were released.

Florida Bass Fishing 8 1/2 lb. Florida Trophy Bass


8 1/2 lb. Okeechobee trophy bass caught by Angie Rojas (Reno, NV - ph: 702-324-6220). Angie and hubby Jorge caught about 50 bass during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron. This honeymoon couple released all the fish caught.

Florida Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing
Year-Round Special Rate

This Special Rate of only $180.00 is for 1 person and includes: 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 6 dozen shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

We require 2 persons on our Special Rate.

Required Deposit for 2 persons is $180.00

Third person 2 half day 1 night rate charge is $100.00 additional and includes 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 room for 3 persons for 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 2 dozen extra shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

Required Deposit for 3rd. person is $100.00
