Lake Okeechobee fishing:
the month of July is usually
hot during the 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. periods of the day. Afternoon
showers are generally cooling down the evenings and turning on
the bass. Lots of schooling bass can be spotted in the open pockets
of the lake busting shad. My guide parties have been getting into
some fast action when these schoolers come threw these pockets.
Occasionally we experience a lot of blow-ups where the bass just
blow the shiner clean out of the water several times playfully.
These blow-up tactics will have a fisherman jumping out of his
seat most of the day! Local fishermen have been bringing in limits
of bluegills and shellcrackers.|
