BASS FISHING FLORIDA REPORT
NOVEMBER 1999

Florida bass fishing started off really good in the begining of the month. Colder evenings have slowed down the morning action. Schooling bass are active during the late morning and all throughout the afternoon. The bass seemed to at times just hit and kill the shiners and spit them out before you could set the hook. Trophy size bass should be on the beds during the next moon.

Jim and Jeff Slagle (Tampa, FL - ph: 813-960-0318) caught 17 bass up to 3 1/2 lbs. during 2 half day sessions (Nov. 28 and 29, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Adam caught the 6 1/2 lb’er. Bass was caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were live released.

Gardner and Sue Horton (Knoxville, TN - e-mail: G-S-Horton@prodigy.net) caught and released 94 bass that included one 6 1/2 lb. and one 6 lb'er during 3 and the half days (Nov. 24 - 27, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Gardener caught the 6 1/2 lb'er. Bass were caught in the Hay Field, Moonshine, North Shore and Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee

Tim and 11 year old son Carl Polijczuk (Camden, NJ - ph: 856-931-0237) caught 36 bass up to 6 lbs. during one day (Nov. 23, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron’s Guide Service. Carl caught the 6 lb'er. All bass which were released were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Joe Klaire (N. Palm Beach, FL - e-mail: JKlair@aol.com) caught and released 7 bass up to 5 lbs during one half day (Nov. 23, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee.

Bill and son Adam Molen (Bradenton, FL - e-mail: wmolen@aol.com) caught 31 bass up to 6 1/2 lbs. during 2 half day sessions (Nov. 22 and 23, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Adam caught the 6 1/2 lb’er. Bass was caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were live released.

Brian Reimers and 12 year old son Kyle (Graham, WA - e-mail: wallframer@aol.com) caught and released 35 bass up to 9 lbs during one day (Nov. 21, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Brian caught the 9 lb'er while his son Kyle boated a hefty 6 lb'er. Bass were caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee.

Shawn Todd and his 12 year old son (Coral Springs, FL - ph: 954-753-9306) caught and released about 15 bass up to 6 lbs during 2 half days (Nov. 20 & 21, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Shawn's son caught the 6 lb'er. Bass were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Milton Chen (Herndon, VA - ph: 703-904-0889) caught and released 29 bass up to 4 lbs during one and the half days (Nov. 20 & 21, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee.

Walter and Anita Nickerson (Port Hueneme, CA - e-mail: nickersona@prodigy.net) caught and released 19 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 days (Nov. 18 & 19, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the North Shore and Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Craig Cobetto (Dearborn, MI - e-mail: Craig_Cobetto@compuware.com) caught and released 25 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs during 2 half days (Nov. 17 & 18, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee.

George Nash (Bowie, MD - ph: 301-464-2633), Ed Smith (Bowie, MD - ph: 401-489-5512), Garry Eng (Bowie, MD - ph: 301-464-0209), Tom Moran (Alexandria, VA - ph: 703-584-2257) and Brian McLemore (Highlands Ranch, CO - ph: 303-683-2894) caught and released about 150 bass up to 5 lb. during 3 full days (Nov. 8 - 11, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Monkey Box, Moonshine and North Shore areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Mike Moon (Kansas City, MO -ph: 816-320-3724) caught and released 17 bass up to 4 lb. during 1 day (Nov. 6, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the Moonshine area of Lake Okeechobee.

Sam Hoffman and Lorraine Tomlinson (Frederick, MD - e-mail: TomlinsonL@Medimmune.com - shoffman@cescompute.net) caught and released 33 bass that included two 5 lb., one 6 lb., one 6 1/2 lb. and one 8 lb'er during 3 days (Oct. 31, Nov. 1 & 2, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron. Lorraine caught the 6 lb'er while Sam caught the 6 1/2 and 8 lb'er. Both of Sam's trophy size bass were taken on Lorraine's rod! Lorraine who caught most of the bass gave Sam her rod which had on the 6 and 8 lb'er because she felt sorry for him! Bass were caught in the Monkey Box, North Shore and Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.

This Special Rate of only $180.00 is for 1 person and includes: 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 6 dozen shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.

We require 2 persons on our Special Rate.

Required Deposit for 2 persons is $180.00

Third person 2 half day 1 night rate charge is $100.00 additional and includes 2 (four hour) half days of shiner bass fishing, 1 room for 3 persons for 1 night of motel lodging free of charge, 2 dozen extra shiners free of charge, USCG licensed guide, bass boat, fuel and all tackle.
