lake okeechobee fishing reports, florida bass fishingLAKE OKEECHOBEE FISHING REPORT: OCTOBER 1998

The month of October is known for its cooler weather especially during the evening hours. Cool evenings coupled with our afternoon showers really helps to get our bigger bass moving. There are schooling bass just about everywhere on the lake and especially along the North Shore area of Okeechobee. Local fishermen are catching crappie (speck's) jigging in and along the weed edges in the Monkey Box, Spoil Islands and Sportsman's Canal areas of Okeechobee.
