Kenny
Myers (Maryville, TN - ph: 423-379-5222 / bus. ph: 423-216-3811)
caught 33 Florida bass up to 5 1/2 lbs. during 2 1/2 days (Nov.
16 - 18, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Capn Ron. Karen
caught the 5 1/2 lber and a mud fish that was at least 10
lbs. In fact Karen caught just about all the Florida bass put
in the boat. She also told everybody around town that Ken got
skunked! For some reason Ken, who had numerous bass hits just
could not hook them. He did manage to bird nest his reel which
requirer bringing in a bass he had on his line by hand. On the
other hand Karen had no trouble hooking and landing any fish that
hit her shiner. Of course Ken would not take any advise from Karen
on how to set the hook. After such a whippn I hope Karen
will be taken on the next fishing trip.

I forgot to recommend a big
can of beans! This is really just what you and Joann needed to
top off your pork chop meal. In any event I had a good time fishing
and reminiscing about New York and the old times. Hope to see
both of you soon again. PS: maybe I will be able to stumble into
some fish on your return trip!
fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Ron.
All the bass which were released were caught in the Monkey Box
area of Okeechobee. The fish during the first session of fishing
put a show on for us buy playfully blasting the wild shiners out
of the water. These tactics which are a sight to see have a way
of keeping you on your toes. During the second session of fishing
the bass were more aggressive without the topwater action that
is delightful to watch. Tracy who I must say is an exceptional good lady bass fishing
angler and a Arlinton Texas
school counselor wanted me to say hello to all of her school students
in this report. Well here's a big
"HELLO"
from a very special counselor
who's thinking of all her students even during her vacation.
caught about 30
bass up to 5 lbs. during 3 days
(Jan. 25-27, 1998) of cold weather fishing on Lake Okeechobee.
Joyce caught and released the 5 lb'er which is in fact considered
a trophy bass in Indiana. This couple who fished with wild shiners
during their stay with us also released all the fish they landed.
Joyce somehow managed to out fish her husband Bob during each
day of fishing. The smile on Joyce's face holding that 5 lb'er
is beyond words. Hope to see you guys someday again - real soon.
