September's cooler evenings which start
to cool the lake waters will really help to turn the fish on as
the month progresses. Our afternoon showers are also very helpful
in cooling down the lake waters. Schooling bass are everywhere
especially along the North Shore area of Okeechobee. Some of the
local fishermen are catching speck's (crappie) along the weed
edges in Sportsman's Canal. Schoolers also working the weed edges
along the canal edges. Bluegill fishing along these edges has
been producing some nice stringers.|
