Florida bass fishing references
from the state of Alabama. I have put together a Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing report of trophy bass caught using shiners by Alabama
residents. Their name, address,
home phone number and e-mail address (if they have one) are also included
so as to verify the contents and afford prospective clientele
the opportunity to get first hand information from folks who have
fished with our guide service.

3 & 4, 2002
Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing anglers Dwight Norris (Tuscaloosa, AL - ph: 205-553-5757)
and Dewy Weekley (Tuscaloosa, AL - ph: 205-339-3066) caught 10 bass that included a 7 lb'er during
2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron on June 3
& 4, 2002. Dwight caught the 7 lb'er. All bass except the
7 lb'er were released. Bass were caught in Harney Pond Canal and
the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing women anglers Anita Bowers (Stapleton, AL - ph: 251-580-3552
- e-mail: ABo3224273@aol.com) and
her girl friend Kaiya Carman (Mobile, AL) caught
and released about 15 bass up to 4 lbs during 2 days of wild shiner
fishing with Ron's Guide Service on May 24 & 25, 2002. Poor
weather and windy conditions slowed down the fishing. Bass were
caught in Harney Pond Canal and the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

and Karry Godwin (Grovetown, GA - ph: 706-210-8206 - e-mail: kpgodwin@aol.com)
caught and released 17 bass that included a 7 lb., 6 1/2 lb. and
two 6 lb'ers during 2 half day mornings of wild shiner fishing
with Captain Ron on May 7 & 8, 2002. Bass were caught in the
North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
Tyson Lee (Tuscumbia, AL - ph: 256-314-6346), Clayton Brown (Little
Rock, AR - ph: 501-661-9843) and David Dollar (Hector, AR - ph:
501-284-5021) caught and released 61 bass that included
a 7 1/4, a 6 1/2, a 5 1/2 and a 5 lb'er during 3 days (Apr. 30
- May 2, 1999) of Florida wild shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee
with Ron's Guide Service. Tyson caught the 7 1/4 lb'er. Clayton
caught the 6 1/2 lb'er and David caught the 5 and 5 1/2 lb'ers.
Bass where caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.
Florida bass fishing: 6 1/4 and 7 1/4 lb. trophy bass Tom Easterwood

Jeff Silvey (Holly Pond, AL ph: 256-796-8583 - e-mail:
jtsilvey@linkfast.net) caught
and released 65 bass that included a 6 1/4 and a 7 1/4 lb'er during
3 days (Apr. 1 - 3, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide
Service. Bass where caught in the North Shore, Monkey Box and
Moonshine areas of Lake Okeechobee.

up to 7 1/4 lbs. during 3 days (Dec. 4 - 6, 1998) of wild shiner
fishing with Rons Guide Service. Jeff caught and released
the 7 1/4 lb'er. All bass were caught on the North Shore of Okeechobee.
All fish were released.
6 1/4 lb Okeechobee
bass. Darryl and wife Anita
Bowers (Stapleton, AL - ph: 334-580-3552 - ABo3224273@aol.com)
caught and released 25 bass up to 6 1/4 lbs. while shiner
fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Ron (Ron's Guide Service).
Anita caught the 6 1/4 lb'er and a huge catfish that would of
weighed at least 20 lbs! All fish were released.
