Cap'n Ron,

Thank you once again for a great guided fishing trip. All four of us were
very excited about the number of bass that were caught in such a short period of
time. We also enjoyed your company very much and look forward to other
guided fishing trips.

Adam Runsdorf

P.S. Please send me the digital photograph of the bass that I caught so that
everyone here in Boca Raton will believe the stories that I have been
telling.

Ron,

We received your request for feedback on our recent trip with your guides.

1. Fishing was great and we had a full day on the water. Your guide was
great and we caught fish all day under great conditions. His equipment was
in great shape and well maintained. Fishing photo attached: left to right -
Kurt Bock, Tim Osborn, guide.

2. Hunting was very interesting and a first for the three of us. Two sows
and a boar. Patrick and Kevin did a great job. The dogs are a real
experience to watch at work. They are incredible! The service was great.
We got them all butchered with a few beers. I did find out that a .45 pistol
was not the weapon of choice for a big boar. Hunting results photo attached:
left to right Kurt Bock, Mark Osborn, Tim Osborn (son). It was a great day,
and we plan on doing it again.

Thanks again,

Dear Ron.

Thank you for an outstanding days fishing on Lake Okeechobee. You are a true
professional who took us to where the fish were and gave us the right tips
to help us hook them. Even though it was a 'difficult' day for most other
fishermen, you persisted and found the fish, making us look great!

As a result I now have a 'six-and-a-half-pound-Bass-smile' on my face!

I will enthusiastically recommend your services to all my fishing buddies.

Thanks again.

Thanks for posting the pics on the bragn' board so soon. They look great!!!
The fish, I mean. Speaking for the both of us, we had a great time. We only
wish we could've stayed longer. John was an excellent guide and good
company. He was very patient and kept us entertained the entire time. You
are lucky to have someone like John working with you.
In total we caught 9 fish, and saw 3 gators! Maybe next time the condition
of the lake will be a bit better.
Good Luck,

I'm responding to your e-mail, ref: our fishing trip on 4/5, 4/6/99. Our
guide Ken was great. Had we listened to him on the importance of patience
before setting the hook, we would have had 6-8 more fish. The two rookie's
caught approximately 20 fish during the two half day trip. Shiners on
bobbers, and flipping in the holes in the weed's. Really enjoyed ourselves.
My wife's nephew will be talking about his trip for a long time. Again,
thank's Ron for everything. Ken's a real professional. We really learned a
lot from him. Good luck to all your guides and staff. Keep up the good work.
I'll mention your name whenever I hear of anyone looking for guide service on the big "Okeechobee." ....William A. Roberts, Brandon, Fl

Ron,

We had an excellent time. The weather was great and John was a great guide.
We caught 19 bass in the two days but no wall hangers. My son had good size
one (probably the one John told you about that was 6 - 7 pounds) but it got
away when we brought it up out of the water. That's the breaks. We are
planning on coming back but not sure of the days. We will notified you when we decide. How is the 4th of July for catching bass????

Captain Ron,
The fishing trip was great, my son & I really enjoyed it.
Tom was great on finding the fishing holes and allowing us plenty of time to fish. I guess we caught about 10 or more fish, 20 or so if you count the ones that got away! A couple of bass about 3-4 lbs, got the pictures to prove it and tell stories that they are 10-12 lbs...got to get that picture angle just right!

Over all...Had a great time and will do it again soon.

Thanks,

Most of the bass were caught on a floating (size #11) rapala. Any color seemed to work. A slow retrieve with short erratic twitches seemed to draw the best strikes. Best hours for topwater action was from 6:30 - 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. All the bass which were released were caught in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

Mike McCoy (Brooksville, FL - ph: 352-796-3343). Joe caught a 6 lb'er that he is having mounted. The other 64 bass that ranged from 2 - 5 lbs. were released. Fished open lake first pole area during the mornings and Monkey Box during the evenings when the wind and showers came in. Fish perfer smaller shiners at this time of the year. Seeing lots of schooling bass activity in the open areas and around weed edges.

Guided Mike Leadley and his dad Elliott (Merritt Island, FL - home ph: 407-452-3001 - e-mail: GSM200@aol.com) to 22 bass up to 4 3/4 lbs. Guided Doug and Nancy Walsh (Tampa, FL - home ph: 813-962-1368 - e-mail: djwalsh@gte.net) for 3 days (Jan. 19 - 21, 1998). They used wild shiners to catch and release 40 bass up to 7 3/4 lbs. Doug did manage to land the trophy 7 3/4 lb'er despite the fact that his wife Nancy out fished him. I felt real bad for him one day when she whipped him so bad by catching 15 bass to his 4 that I went so far as purposely mixing up the rods and giving him her rod with the fish on to help him from being skunked on the Big-O. Doug tried switching seats with her, throwing his line over her line and a host of other tricks to no avail. He did almost land a "big snake" that had a hold of his shiner! In any event we has fun and caught fish. We fished the Monkey Box drifting and setting up along the reeds. This is Doug's second trip fishing with me. On his first trip without his wife Nancy (July 17 - 19, 1997) he did manage to land a trophy 9 lb'er out of the 53 bass boated.

John and Mari Magursky (Tavernier, FL - ph: 305-852-8797) caught and released about 15 bass up to 5 lbs. during a day of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service.
