Ron,
We all loved the fishing trip, Pam a little more than the rest.
Number of fish caught only God knows, was having too much fun watching Pam
and her Dad catch them. Never seen Gene that excited and nervous, it was
great!
The biggest fish was Pam's 7.5 to 8 lb'er. she won't let Gene and me live
that down for a long time.
Sorry, no pictures, her camera messed up and they didn't turn out,
OH DARN that means we have to come back and try it again next year!
An she's ready this time two new cameras ( one digital ) and a camcorder,
she means business this time.
Yes Chris told you right, I was out with your service in April 1992 and
caught a trophy Bass.
Our guide Chris was out standing, patient and very helpful. I thought the
guide you gave me in 92 was good but Chris put him to shame. Even after the
third time Gene back lashed the reel (by not locking it before setting the hook)
Chris didn't feed him to the gaitors. You really don't pay him enough.
Can't say enough about what a great time we had, thanks to you and Chris.
Looking forward to the next trip, trying to get my brother and his wife
to come along.

THANK YOU RON !

Mike & Pam Heater

Subject: Our recent trip

Ron...my son and I had a great time fishing Okeechobee! We caught about
70 fish between the two of us in three days. The sunrise and sunsets on
Okeechobee are only surpassed by the splash of a largemouth inhaling a
shiner in a lilypad hole. Tom, our guide, was super! If we hadn't caught
a fish, we would have deemed the trip a success just by the company,
weather, and sights/sounds of nature. We thank you for the experience!

Florida bass fishing: 40 bass up to 7 1/4 lbs

Had a guide party of 3 persons wild shiner fishing on Okeechobee for 2 half days and 1 full day (July 10 - 12, 1998). Although the fishing was very show they did manage to land and release 19 bass which included a 7 1/4, 6 3/4 and 6 1/2 lb’er. Mike Ruter (Naperville, IL - ph: 630-904-4794 - e-mail: MRuter@romac.com) caught the 7 1/4 lb. bass after setting the hook on another fish which turned out to be a mudfish that came out of the water and threw the hook and wild shiner nearly 10 feet in the air where upon hitting the water was immediately hit by another fish which turned out to be the 7 1/4 lb’er! Mike also caught a 6 1/2 lb’er on the last morning of their trip. Florida bass fishing: 23 bass up to 8 3/4 lbs

Had a husband and wife guide fishing party out for 3 days (Rick and Cathleen Sporer - Glenview, IL - home ph: 847-657-7265 - e-mail: cathspo@cdw.com) . We fished (Dec. 13 - 15, 1997) with wild shiner during an all day long rain which lasted for 2 1/2 days. On the last 1/2 day session of fishing (the only time the rain stopped) we were hit with a cold front! We in fact were blown off the lake on the second morning by 9:30 with wind gusts of 25 mph or more. Although we only caught 23 bass in 3 days of fishing under some terrible weather conditions - Rick however did manage to hook and land a 8 3/4 lb. trophy bass! Rick’s comment upon holding this beauty “it makes you forget how wet and cold you are” are words I have heard many times over the 14 years I have guided on Okeechobee. We fished coves in the Moonshine and Monkey Box areas of the lake. The 8 3/4 lb’er was caught on a “10 inch shiner” out in the open water around the Point of the Reef.
