FLORIDA BASS FISHING REFERENCES FROM: INDIANA
Florida bass fishing references from the state of Indiana. I have put together a Lake Okeechobee bass fishing report of trophy bass caught using shiners by Indiana residents. Their name, address, home phone number and e-mail address (if they have one) are also included so as to verify the contents and afford prospective clientele the opportunity to get first hand information from folks who have fished with our guide service.

Bluegill Fishing Report - June 2 & 3, 2003

Bluegill fishing anglers Torrence & Michelle Craig (Ft. Wayne, IN - ph: 260-466-9192 - e-mail: t.craigsr@aol.com) caught over 100 bluegills on live crickets during 2 half days of bluegill fishing with Cap'n Ron on June 2 & 3, 2003. Bluegills were caught in the Twin Pond Canal area of Lake Okeechobee.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
Bass Fishing Report & Bluegill Fishing Report - June 1, & MAY 31, 2003

HONEYMOON bass & bluegill fishing anglers Mark & Erin Maloy (Noblesville, IN - ph: 317-770-7200 - e-mail: mmaloy@hireright.com) caught 6 bass up to 4 lbs during a half day morning of bass fishing with Cap'n Ron on June 1, 2003. This couple also caught about 60 bluegills on live crickets during a half day afternoon of bluegill fishing with Cap'n Ron on May 31, 2003. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee. Bluegills were caught in the Twin Pond Canal area of the lake.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
MARCH 27, 2003

Florida bass fishing angeler Tom Pace (Mt. Vernon, IN - ph: 812-838-6050) caught and released about 6 bass up to 4 lbs during a half day of shiner fishing on March 27, 2003 with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
MARCH 9 & 10, 2003

Florida wild shiner bass fishing dad Earl and his 18 year-old daughter Monica (Lawrenceburg, IN - ph: 812-537-3980 - e-mail: htown4@earthlink) caught and released about 20 bass that included a 6 3/4 lb'er, one 5 1/2 lb., one 4 3/4 lb., one 4 1/4 lb. and one 4 lb'er during 2 days of shiner bass fishing with Captain Ron on March 9 & 10, 2003. Monica who is an excellent angler caught "ALL THE BASS" with the exception of one her dad managed to land. Bass were caught in North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report:
June 11 & 12, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglers Scott and Charlotte Pitts (Greenwood, IN - ph: 317-535-3088 - e-mail: scott@greenwoodchristian.com) caught 10 bass that included a 5 1/2 lb, 5 lb. and 4 1/2 lb'er during 2 half days of wild shiner fishing with Captain Ron on June 11 & 12, 2002. Scott caught the 5 1/2 lb'er. Charlotte got the 5 lb'er. All bass were released. Bass were caught in Harney Pond Canal and the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

LAKE OKEECHOBEE BASS FISHING REPORT:
MARCH 25, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler Sam Van Til (Schererville, IN, - ph: 219-322-6150 - e-mail: svantil@jorsm.com) caught and released 10 bass that included a 8 lb'er. Sam also landed a 24 lb. channel catfish during 1 day of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on March 25, 2002. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler Carl Crouch (Indpls., IN, - ph: 317-209-0259 - e-mail: Carlcrouch@aol.com) caught and released 16 bass that included two 7 lb'ers during 3 days of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on March 19 - 21, 2002. Bass were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing anglersTodd Woolden (Valmyra, IN - ph: 812-364-6186 caught and released 7 bass up to 5 lbs during a half day (Jan. 18, 2002) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the North Shore areas of Lake Okeechobee.

JANUARY 8 & 9, 2002

Lake Okeechobee bass fishing angler Tom Frey (Goshen, IN - ph: 219-875-8402) caught and released about 10 bass up to 3 lbs. during 2 half days (Jan. 8 & 9, 2002) of wild shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Bass were caught in the the Monkey Box areas of Lake Okeechobee.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
June 21 & 22, 2001

Florida wild shiner bass fishing and bluegill fishing anglers Darrell Brock and his son Chris (Crothersville, IN - ph: 812-793-9839) caught and released 6 bass up to 4 lbs and a 128 bluegills during 2 half days (June 21 & 22, 2001) of bass and bluegill fishing with Cap'n Ron. I fished Lake Okeechobee's Sportsman Canal during our afternoon session of fishing and the Point Of The Reef areas out on Lake Okeechobee during our morning session of fishing.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
MAY 21 & 22, 2001

Florida wild shiner trophy bass fishing anglers Rick Perry (Indianapolis, IN - ph: 317-823-8775 - e-mail: rperry@mibor.net) and Dean Trennepohl (Monticello, IN - ph: 219-583-6060 - e-mail: dtren@monti.net) caught 28 bass that included a 10 3/4 lb'er during 2 half days (May 21 & 22, 2001) of wild shiner bass fishing with Cap'n Ron. Dean caught the 10 3/4 lb'er. They boated 10 bass up to 5 lbs in the Harney Pond Canal on their first afternoon of shiner fishing. The next morning I fished the Point Of The Reef out on Lake Okeechobee where we boated 18 bass up to 10 3/4 lbs. All bass except the 10 3/4 lb'er were released.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
APRIL 12 & 13, 2001

Florida wild shiner trophy bass fishing father and son team Mike & Joe Myers (Schererville, IN - ph: 219-865-3227) caught and released 10 bass that included a 6 3/4 and 6 lb'er during 2 half days (April 12 & 13, 2001) of wild shiner bass fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Joe caught the 6 3/4 lb'er on a red shad green glitter worm with one of Ron's guides on the first afternoon. On the next morning Joe caught a 6 lb'er with Cap'n Ron on a wild shiner. They fished the Harney Pond Canal area of Lake Okeechobee on their first half day of fishing and the Point Of The Reef area on their second half day.

FLORIDA WILD SHINER BASS FISHING REPORT:
APRIL 2 & 3, 2001

Florida wild shiner bass fishing couple Wayne and Joyce Terrell (Peru, IN - ph: 765-689-9096 - e-mail: Nana@aol.com) caught and released about 40 bass that included a 8 lb. and 6 lb. bass during 2 half days (April 2 & 3, 2001) of wild shiner bass fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Wayne caught the 8 lb'er. Joyce got the 6 lb'er. Another party of anglers Jerry Sheridan (Frankfort, KY - ph: 502-226-5570) and Marvin Hamton (Peru, IN - ph: 219-699-1276) in a second guide boat caught and released about 30 bass up to 4 lbs during the 2 half days they fished. Both parties fished the Harney Pond Canal and Sportsman Canal areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida wild shiner bass fishing anglers Gary Miller (Syracuse, IN - ph: 219-457-3331) and Mark caught and released about 12 bass that included a 6 1/2 lb. bass during 1 day (April 1, 2001) of wild shiner bass fishing with Ron's Guide Service. Mark caught the 6 1/2 lb'er. They fished the Harney Pond canal area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida Wild Shiner Bass Fishing Report: February 26 - 28, 2001

Florida wild shiner bass fishing anglers in 2 guide fishing boats: Carl Crouch (Crawfordville, IN - ph: 765-866-0302 - e-mail: Carlcrouch@aol.com), Bill Mapes (Grove City, PA), Dave Leffler (Thorntown, IN) and Steve French (Avon, IN) caught and released about 102 bass that included a 6 1/4, 6 1/2 and a 7 lb'er during 3 days (February 26 - 28, 2001) of Florida wild shiner bass fishing with with Ron's Guide Service. Bill Mapes caught the 6 1/4 and 6 1/2 lb'ers. Dave Leffler got the 7 lb'er. Bass were caught in Harney Pond and Sportsman canal areas of Lake Okeechobee.

Tom, wife Melissa and 14 year old son Carson Jaegle (Ft. Wayne, IN - ph: 219-436-6236) caught 8 bass up to 5 1/2 lbs. during a half day (Oct. 27, 1998) of wild shiner fisihing with Cap’n Ron. Carson caught and released the 5 1/2 lb’er. Bass were taken in the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.

These two 6 lb'ers which were caught by Charlie and his wife Theresa Hollan (Austin, IN - ph: 812-794-3894) were the biggest out of a 105 bass they caught during 3 days of wild shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Ron. Charlie and 2 buddies, Elston Boldery (Austin, IN - ph: 812-794-2533) and Tim Boldery (Crothersville, IN - ph: 812-793-3380) on his first fishing trip with Captain Ron caught 70 bass up to 5 lbs. Bass on both trips were all released.

Jerry and Mary English (Linton, IN - ph: 812-847-4264) each caught a trophy bass while shiner fishing on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Ron. Jerry's bass weighed 9 lbs., Mary's was 7 lbs.

Dave Shuck and John Knapp (Anderson, IN - ph: 765-644-0645) who fished 3 days (April 11 - 13, 1998) with Ron’s Guide Service caught and released 57 bass fishing with wild shiners. Dave’s biggest bass was a 6 3/4 lb’er. John also caught a 6 1/ 2 lb’er. Lake okeechobee’s North Shore and Monkey Box areas produced this nice catch of bass.

10 1/2 lb. Lake Okeechobee trophy bass caught by Bob Hancock (Clinton, IN - home ph: 317-832-6236). Bob mounted this "lunker" Lake Okeechobee trophy bass while his fishing buddy Ray Fellows (Mecca, IN - home phone: 317-569-7032) caught and released a 7 1/2 lb. bass. Mike Lear (home ph: 317-569-6208) and Eric Eslinger (home ph: 317-569-3750) both from (Rockville, IN) also helped catch a good share of the 80 Okeechobee bass that were caught using wild shiners during the 3 days they fished. Captain Ron was Bob and Ray's fishing guide.

7 lb. Okeechobee trophy bass caught by Bob Dodson (New Castle, IN - ph: 317-529-1799). Bob's fishing buddie Dale Rose (Monticello, KY - ph: 606-348-0182) also caught a 6 3/4 lb'er on this trip, their second with us.
