and Dereck Johnson caught 45 bass up to 5 lbs. during 2 days (Sept.
26 & 27, 1998) of wild shiner fishing with Rons Guide
Service. These guys who arrived while hurricane Georges was in
full fury battled winds and rain during their trip. The fish which
were hitting great due to the storm conditions made up for the
poor weather. These guys ran out of shiners overtime they went
out and in fact used 5 dozen in an hour and the half one morning.
Sure they missed a lot of fish, however they had a ball. Fish
were caught all over the lake in the sheltered areas. All bass
were released.
