Florida bass fishing references
from the State Of Rhode Island. I have put together a Florida
bass fishing report with pictures of trophy bass caught using
shiners by Rhode Island residents. Their
name, address, home phone number and e-mail address (if they have one) are also included
so as to verify the contents and afford prospective clientele
the opportunity to get first hand information from folks who have
fished with our guide service.
Bass fishing anglers Allen Tremblay (North Smithfield,
RI - ph: 401-765-6416 - e-mail: altremb968@aol.com) and his dad
Armand Tremblay (Woonsocket, RI ph: 401-762-1519 - e-mail: armdog81@aol.com)
caught and released 105 bass up
to 3 lbs during
2 half days of shiner and artificial plastic worm fishing with
Cap'n Ron on the mornings of June 11th. & 12th., 2003. They
only caught 5 bass on their first morning do to heavy wind conditions
which muddied up the water. On there second morning we set a lake
record with a catch of 100 bass in 5 hours of fishing! Bass were caught mostly
on plastic worm in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

Florida wild shiner bass
fishing angler Dan Pizzuti (Prov., RI - ph:401-255-6266) caught and released about
15 bass during 1 half day of
shiner fishing with Ron's Guide Service on March 12, 2003. Bass
were caught in the North Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.

8 & 9, 2002
Lake Okeechobee
bass fishing anglers Bob Desilets (Woodsocket, RI - ph: 401-499-3279)
and Tim Faria (Woodsocket, RI - ph: 401: 765--4335) caught and released 7 bass that included
a 6 1/2 lb'er and a 5 1/2 lb'er during 1 half day of wild shiner
fishing with Captain Ron on the morning of April 9, 2002. Another
party of 2 persons Allan Tremblay (North Smithfield, RI - ph:
401-765-6416 - e-mail: ALTREMB1968@aol.com) and his dad Armond
Tremblay (Woodsocket, RI) also fished 1 half day with Captain
Ron on the afternoon of April 8th. Bass were caught in the North
Shore area of Lake Okeechobee.
10 1/4 lb. Okeechobee trophy bass
caught by Dave Finn (Johnston, RI - home ph: 401-272-0062). Dave
who fished 5 days by himself "landed 137 bass".
Besides the 10 1/4 lb Lake Okeechobee trophy he had mounted, Dave
also caught and released another 10 lb'er, a 7 1/2 lb'er and
a 6 1/4 lb'er. All bass were caught using shiners and were
released except for the 10 1/4 lb. Lake Okeechobee trophy bass.
Captain Ron was his bass fishing guide.
6 lb. Okeechobee bass caught
by Dean Lambeit (West Kingston, RI - ph: 401-783-4031). Dean also
caught 4 bass that were 5 or more lbs. out of a total of 15 bass
that were landed during 1 day of wild shiner fishing with Captain
Ron.
