and Tommy LeQuire (Maryville, TN - ph: 423-983-0247 - e-mail:

Kenny Myers (Maryville, TN - ph:
423-379-5222 / bus. ph: 423-216-3811) and Karen Kanipe (Knoxville,
TN - e-mail: kkanipe@cellular.uscc.com) caught 33 bass up to 5
1/2 lbs. during 2 1/2 days (Nov. 16 - 18, 1998) of wild shiner
fishing with Capn Ron. Karen caught the 5 1/2 lber
and a mud fish that was at least 10 lbs. In fact Karen caught
just about all the bass put in the boat. She also told everybody
around town that Ken got skunked! For some reason Ken, who had
numerous bass hits just could not hook them. He did manage to
bird nest his reel which requirer bringing in the bass by hand.
On the other hand Karen had no trouble hooking and landing any
fish that hit her shiner. Of course Ken would not take any advise
from Karen on how to set the hook. After such a whippn I
hope Karen will be taken on the next fishing trip. Fished Moonshire
ares of Okeechobee. All bass were released.

"only weighed in at 6 3/4 lbs". Mike and
