We had a
WONDERFUL time!! Granted it was windy and the fish weren't biting
like gangbusters. But we loved our guide Ray Maimone and had a
great time. We will definitely consider using your services if
we can ever get back there again! We each caught some bass every
day. I believe the largest was over 5 lbs. (not big by Okeechobee
standards, but definitely fun) Somehow, I even caught a seagull.
Thank you so much for some wonderful fun and memories. we will
send along some photos if you would like,
Thanks again,
Sandy & Wayne

guys fished under cold front and extremely "heavy wind"
conditions during the 3 days they were here. Although they did
not catch numbers they got the numbers in pounds that counted.

Dave Moga (El Paso, TX - e-mail: mogadave@hotmail.com) a U.S.
Army Captain and fishing buddie Keith Johnson caught about 25
bass up to 4 1/2 lbs. during 1 ½ days (Nov. 19, 20, 1998)
of wild shiner fishing with Rons Guide Service. Fish were
caught on the North Shore of Lake Okeechobee. All bass were released.
Tracy Teaff (Arlinton, TX - e-mail: TTeaff@aol.com) caught 16
bass up to 4 1/2 lbs. using shiners during 2 half days (Aug.
8 & 9, 1998) of
fishing on Lake Okeechobee with
Captain Ron. All the bass which were released were caught in
the Monkey Box area of Okeechobee. The fish during the first
session of fishing put a show on for us buy playfully blasting
the wild shiners out of the water. These tactics which are a
sight to see have a way of keeping you on your toes. During the
second session of fishing the bass were more aggressive without
the topwater action that is delightful to watch. Tracy who I
must say is an exceptional good lady bass fishing angler and
a Arlinton Texas school counselor wanted me to say hello to all
of her school students in this report. Well here's a big "HELLO"
from a very special counselor who's thinking of all her students
even during her vacation.
