Subject: Fishing in the rain
Date: Monday, February 25, 2002 12:05 AMHi Cap'n Ron, Just wanted to say thanks for the fishing experience. The weather sucked
but Dave and I still had a swell time fishin' with Cap'n Ken. He's a good
ol' boy and we were lucky to have a guide so full of "Bullshit".
Please tell him thanks again and we will try to catch more MudFish next
time, as we will fish only with him..... provided he gets his aerator fixed.
Thanks again. Regardless of the weather, we endured and so did Ken. He is
alot like Dave and I when it comes to fishin'. Hot, cold, wind, rain, or
shine. He's a trooper and a "KEEPER". We look forward to another fishing
trip in the near future. Let me know if you got any good specials coming up
for guys from Virginia who love to fish and kinda know how.

Campbell (Luray, VA - ph: 540-743-2140 - e-mail: sarac@shentel.net)
and Junior Roy (Stanley, VA - ph: 540-778-1522) who are Virginia
policemen caught 37 bass which included a 7 lber during
3 days (Oct. 12 - 14, 1999) of wild shiner fishing with Captain
Ron. Page caught the 7 lber. Most of the bass ran in the
3 - 4 lb range. All 37 bass were caught in the Monkey Box area
of Lake Okeechobee. All the bass were live released.
6 lb. Florida Bass
Guided
a honeymoon couple
for
2 days (Dec. 5th. & 6th. 1997) of wild shiner fishing on lake
Okeechobee. Dave Simpson and his wife Lisa (Marshall, VA - home
ph: 540-364-4546) caught only 11 bass fishing due to a cold front
that slowed down the fishing. To compensate for the poor fishing
Lisa did however hook and land a 7 1/2 lb'er. Her husband
Dave also hooked and landed a 8 lb'er. Lisa also had on
another "big" bass that threw the hook. We fished the
Monkey Box and Moonshine Bay. All the fish were caught using shiners.
