I saw four turkeys on Monday
3/29. Three were hens, the fourth may have been a gobbler. Only
saw one hen on Tuesday 3/30. However, had a gobbler and a hen
answering my call from the reservation. Could not get them to
come over on our side. My hunting partner saw four hens as well
out of two days hunting. The hunting area was good and easy to
move around in as opposed to the "jungle" available
on public lands. Although, the area did not appear to be 500 acres
as advertised. I would recommend your hunt area to hunters that
do not have any private ground to access and only had public lands
to hunt. The package was affordable and offered an opportunity
to see turkeys. I feel with one or two more days could have made
a difference in bagging a bird. Just to note, I bagged a gobbler
on Thursday 4/1 on a private ranch near Avon Park. He weighed
~19 lbs., had a 10 1/2" beard, and 1 1/4" spurs. Also
got to fish for Specks on the Okeechobee. Thanks for providing
me with an opportunity to hunt your lease ground at an affordable
price. Take care and good fishing!
